Well plans are starting to come together for the Summer Tour in McCall Idaho. I and whoever would like to join me for a long weekend of driving and camaraderie on a scenic drive, where will be fun and all the rest that goes with it. There are still some small details to work out but here is the basic idea.
Thursday, June 21 will leave Camus and head east till we get to Walla Walla. We will spend the night with a view of the Blue Mountains at the Colonial Motel. (About 226 miles)
Friday, June 22 we head out to Lewiston and then down to McCall where the IBCC is hosting the Summer Tour 2012 at the Great Mountain Lodge. (About 261 miles)
After a fun weekend there, Sunday morning, June 24, we head out and hit a stretch of road that you can check your own tail light on, very twisty and windy as we make our way to La Grande for the evening. There we will stay at the Orchard Motel. (About 237 miles)
Monday morning we will make our way back home, (about 259 miles) there you can put your hot feet up and sit in something that is soft and cushy, and say my butt hurts with a smile. After all if Mr. Google map is correct. You just did about 1000 mile.
I have reserved a block of rooms at both the Colonial Motel in Walla Walla and the Orchard Motel in La Grande. They will hold them till about the end of the month so please call and make your reservation, and give them my name or PTOA. First come, first served.
